2. BMW M5 CS - BMW's most powerful car yet will arrive locally in the third quarter of 2021 for a yet undisclosed fee. What we do know is only five examples of the limited-production super sedan will be shipped over.
The 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 motor produces 476kW and 750Nm. Of course, like the normal M5 it can switch between the standard four-wheel-drive mode and send all its power to the rear axle only.

3. Mazda CX-30 - The compact SUV segment got even more congested with the news of Mazda's new CX-30 model. It slots between the CX-3 and CX-5 SUVs. Only one engine will be offered across the three-model range: a normally-aspirated 2.0-litre petrol unit with 121kW and 213Nm sent to the front wheels via an automatic transmission.
Pricing starts at R469 000.

4. Peugeot 2008 - The French carmaker'S 2008 SUV will go on sale in the first quarter of the year. The attractive-looking SUV is powered by small-capacity 1.2-litre petrol turbo engine in 74kW and 96kW outputs.
A six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox options are available. Pricing for the entry-level 74kW model begins at R359 900.

5. Mercedes-Benz EQA - Mercedes has already showed off its all-electric EQC and EQS models. Now it's the turn of the smallest, entry-level EQA to welcome to the fold.
While not confirmed for local introduction as of yet, the EQA is set to have a claimed range of 426kW and offer 140kW from its electric motors. The new model goes on sale in Europe from as early as next month.
Mercedes South Africa is yet to confirm when the EQA will be available locally.

6. Porsche Boxster - It's hard to believe that 25 years ago Porsche launched a sub-911 model, called the Boxster. It has been a runaway success and is widely regarded as one of the best convertible sports cars on sale.
Since it went on sale in 1996, Porsche has sold close to 360 000. For the Boxster's 25th year anniversary, the German carmaker is releasing 1250 limited edition model simply called Boxster 25 years.
It is based on the GTS model and power is derived from the 4.0-litre six-cylinder motor with 294kW. A handful of models will be shipped to South Africa and will cost R1 660 000.

7. Subaru Forester - Subaru South African begin the year with an important mode update. The Forester will be available in two variants and features a more powerful 2.5-litre Boxer engine with 136kW and 239Nm.
An entry-level 2.0i CVT is also available. Subaru says pricing will be announced ahead of its launch in March.
There's a new Sport model available that is fitted with water-repellent seats, how cool is that!?
